My mom has some in her fridge (I guess she likes it refrigerated!) and I pick it up, open it, smell it, read the ingredients, etc, every time I'm home. But I've never gone that extra step to actually TRY it. I promise I will the next time I'm home. With some butter on toast ;)

My mom is also Scottish, and partially grew up in Ireland, so she eats a lot of strange English foods. Namely blood pudding, which I've tried, and is gross as hell!Susanhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17361460008581064163noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4536652400100822689.post-1183394893549645202009-11-13T22:36:00.829-07:002009-11-13T22:36:00.829-07:00brave..... sounds like a poor sustitute for nutell...brave..... sounds like a poor sustitute for nutella ( a personal favorite)

but honestly I'd say my strangest food choices... um any english food - yeesh , how is it, they are such an old nation with such a rich heritage and their food stinks?natalie ahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11498546494539023012noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4536652400100822689.post-43125229642601966712009-11-13T20:51:37.962-07:002009-11-13T20:51:37.962-07:00Ya so I won't be trying that. My parents eat Marmite constantly (English vegemite) and I've managed to make it through my whole life without sampling...the smell alone puts me off. Cheers to you for being brave this freaky Friday!! And if it's anything like Marmite, no refridgeration needed!!Abby (Nibble, Nourish, Run)http://www.nibblenourishrun.comnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4536652400100822689.post-84872276747803423552009-11-13T12:16:04.407-07:002009-11-13T12:16:04.407-07:00Oh, lol...have you seen the Scrubs episode where J...Oh, lol...have you seen the Scrubs episode where JD sings that song? I am going to have it in my head all night. Thank you for that :P

I've had vegemie and hated it- like it's brother, Marmite, you either love it or hate it. So the commercial says (and it's TRUE!) People also dissolve it in hot water to drink. Bleurgh. I'll take peanut butter for my toast and a cup of coffee!

International foods...hmmm...escargot, haggis, curried goat :) And the first time I was given peanut butter + apple I thought that was seriously weird! I grew up with PBJ sandwiches, but in the UK where PB is usually a savoury thing. Peanut butter, butter and ham sandwiches were what everyone else ate (FYI- PB and butter together are nasty!)Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
